Turn Seattle Restaurant Week into Your Next Venue Scouting Adventure

Seattle Restaurant Week is back! From October 26 through November 8, 2025, hundreds of local restaurants will offer special prix fixe menus at $20, $35, $50, and $65 price points. It’s the perfect excuse to get out, eat well, and experience the best of Seattle’s dining scene — all while scouting potential venues for your next event. To join in, just make a reservation at any participating restaurant and ask for the Restaurant Week menu. Each spot crafts its own multi-course lineup, often featuring local, seasonal ingredients and creative twists on signature dishes. It’s an easy way to discover new favorites or revisit classics in a fresh way.

At SHW, we love using Restaurant Week as a creative “venue scouting tour.” It’s a fun, low-pressure way to experience spaces you might consider for client dinners, leadership gatherings, or team celebrations. Pay attention to how the staff manages service during a busy night, how the room feels when full, and whether the atmosphere fits the type of event you’re planning.

New on the Scene: 2025 Openings Worth Checking Out

One of the best parts of Restaurant Week is seeing who’s new to the table. Here are a few recently opened or buzzworthy downtown-area restaurants to add to your list this year:

  • Lenox (Belltown): Chef Jhonny Reyes’ Afro-Latin concept that’s been making national “best new restaurant” lists. Big flavors, a lively crowd, and plenty of character.
  • Capitale Pizzeria (Belltown): Rustic Italian done right, with wood-fired pizzas, small plates, and a warm, relaxed atmosphere.
  • Chan Seattle (Downtown): A modern Korean fusion favorite tucked beside Pike Place Market, known for its creative cocktails and bold flavors.
  • Japonessa (Downtown): A long-time Bellevue favorite with a new Seattle location — sushi with a Latin twist, lively energy, and a central location that’s perfect for after-work dinners.
  • Elliott’s Oyster House (Waterfront): Technically not brand-new, but newly refreshed and always a strong contender for those looking to experience Seattle seafood at its best.

Great for Groups: Private Dining & Buyout-Ready Restaurants

If you’re on the hunt for spots that can accommodate private dinners or full buyouts, several downtown and waterfront restaurants stand out:

  • AQUA by El Gaucho (Pier 70): Sophisticated and spacious, with panoramic waterfront views, private rooms, and full buyout capabilities.
  • Aerlume (Downtown / Pike Place): Sleek, open, and airy, with multiple private dining spaces that can host intimate dinners or receptions up to 250 guests.
  • Six Seven Restaurant (Edgewater Hotel): A gorgeous waterfront setting with flexible private dining options — perfect for executive dinners or celebrations.
  • The George (Fairmont Olympic Hotel): A downtown classic, offering a mix of historic charm and modern design across several private spaces.
  • Toulouse Petit (Queen Anne): A lively, colorful option just minutes from downtown, with private areas for up to 45 guests — great for casual-elegant group gatherings.

Make It a Venue Scouting Night

Turn Restaurant Week into a little team field trip. Pick a few restaurants in one neighborhood, Belltown and the Waterfront are great places to start, and plan a progressive dinner. Begin with drinks and appetizers at one spot, entrées at another, and dessert somewhere new. At each stop, take in the details: lighting, layout, sound, staff, and the overall vibe. Introduce yourself to the manager or events contact if the moment’s right. You never know when you’ll find your next perfect event venue hiding behind a great meal.
