Top 10 Ways to Reuse a Conference Tote

Source: Harris Teeter
Reusable conference totes, be an environmental steward. It seems nearly every conference these days gives attendees tote bags to collect collateral and swag. Convenient for those few days, for sure. But those conference totes collect in the closet. And do they multiply? It seems that way.
Here are a few ways to upcycle those bags, and give them new life.
Grocery bags. Really, a no-brainer.
Donate to a food bank. Fill it with canned goods – or event holiday gifts.
Clean-the-car tote. You know how stuff collects in the car? Keep a bag or two in the back to collect those dribs and drabs.
Clean-the-closet tote. Hang one closet door, and fill it up with giveaway garments. When it’s full, drop off the whole bag at Goodwill.
Make-the-closet-smell-good tote. Fill a lightweight bag with dried lavender and hang in your closet. Lavender is a natural moth deterrent and smells good, too.
Trick-or-Treat bags. No risk of too much candy busting that bag open!
Keep craft projects together. In-progress knitting, crocheting, sewing, etc.
Mail sorter. Use to sort the stacks of mail into research, to do, bills to pay, etc.
Send-a-college-kid-off-to-school bag. Fill with snacks, pampering items, movies.
Pet toy collector. House guests coming? Gather those toys quickly with time to spare.
