The United Nation has established sustainable development goals and as a global leader Microsoft is racing to meet them. As the climate crisis grows, more communities around the globe will feel the impact. Microsoft believes the need for new sustainability solutions has never been greater, that’s why through partnership with Schneider Electric, they are enabling The Footprint Project through the power of the Microsoft Cloud.

To tell the story of The Footprint Project, Microsoft engaged TEDx & SHW to produce and broadcast a mini documentary. This involved SHW film crews in Microsoft campus in Seattle, Schneider Electric HQ in Boston, and The Footprint Project in the field following the devastation of Hurricane Ida in New Orleans. 3-shoots captured hours of footage, multiple revisions on edits reviewed by a collective of stakeholders, and a string of highly visible online broadcasts.

The 4-min piece is airing at TEDx events over the Q4 2021 through Q1&2 2021 leading into Microsoft Inspire. The human-interest story is building support for The Footprint Projects cutting-edge work and acknowledging the important roles that the Microsoft partner ecosystem, and the likes of Schneider Electric and TEDx, are doing to meet the UN’s goals. SHW is proud to have produced this powerful piece of purpose-driven content.
